Facebook confusion

A friend on Facebook posted a "Nazis suck.  Live nazis suck.  Dead Nazis suck" type of post, and said it was likely to be deleted for violation of TOS.

Actually, I think he's wrong, but we will wait to see if his prognostication comes to pass.

I said that he wasn't advocating violence (rioting), or hate groups (Nazis), nor was he advocating murder, so it didn't violate TOS (IMO).  Of course, I can't speak for FB.

Then , someone brought up the fact that NAZI means NATIONAL SOCIALIST.  (Take a look at that term.)  It's not Nationalism.  It's not Socialism. 

My statement, below, I suspect he'll remove because it disagrees with him.  But we shall see.

Honestly, I don't believe that they have removed posts that say something sucks.

If you were calling for murder, however, THAT would be removed (Or ought to be!), as it advocates violence, hatred and murder!

Arjun made a statement that many people seem to ignore -- that NAZI is short for NATIONAL SOCIALIST.

Let's look at that again. It's not Nationalism. And it's not Socialism. It when the two are combined, and and a Dose (and an unhealthy dose, at that) of more hatred is thrown in.

Socialism is the enemy of capitalism. It's not even political, it's ECONOMIC.

It's actually based on hatred-- hatred of the rich. It's also based in Covetousness. Remember? "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, or manservant, or maidservant, or anything that is thy neighbor's." People ignore that, too.

Yeshua had harsh words for bankers. He had harsh words for the rich. But he ALSO defended their right to be rich. ("Friend, I have done you no wrong. Did you not agree to work this day for a denarius? I choose to give to the last what I have given to you. Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with my own? Or is your eye evil because I am good?" (Do you begrudge my generosity?)

It's true: Nazis do not have a place in a world which is supposed to be based in love.

You're quite right in saying "NAZIS SUCK."

But, IMO, you're not in violation of anything. You've told the truth.

A new year is upon us.  I've actually been blogging for years, but haven't been consistent.  I think I started in about 2004, but I deleted the original in 2007.  Just started again.

Al Gore is chewing his fingernails off...it's been D*** cold in these parts, colder in the north, and Even colder than that in Canada.  You want cold?  40 below, 50 below:?  And he STILL claims it is due to "WARMING.." 

Trump has indicated that we're moving the EMBASSY to Jerusalem.  The UN condemns that, so he cuts a quarter billion from the "Donation" the US makes.  Smart. 

Kim Jong Un, perennial moron, petulant child, trying to gain ground in "One upmanship" keeps threatening, but probably is compensating for his D*** size.

Isis is apparently retreating, and I hope that they can eliminate those dorks.

And once in a while, I get a serving of crow... well, I didn't apologize, because my view is just as valid, but I really probably should not comment on child-rearing, since I have none of my own.

Bills and health problems continue to pile up, and Irma leveled about a dozen trees on the property.

And now, it's 2018.  Midterms in 10 months.  IRS in 3 months.  And there's gonna be a lot of mudslinging. 

Grin and bear it.  That's all we can do right now.

The oh-so-tolerant left strikes again

Well, I have to admit this doesn't apply to everyone on the left... But one, anyway.  Let's call her Jeanne... Just for the hell of it.

ON FB, I often have political discussions.  And they almost always result in the other side name-calling, threatening, or just saying "I'm done with you; you're a bigot."

Such idiocy needs to be called out.

She claims she's going to vote for Clinton.  I have no control over what she believes.  I don't control her vote.  I think she knows that.  But she thinks that I'm "Anti-woman" because I don't support Clinton.  I gave her my reasons.  She counter with a couple of articles which I read.  Then I went on to contradict a half-dozen points, with info of my own..  I don't have a lot of time to go back to find all the sources.  But it's somewhat apparent that she would even look at them.

She ended it, claiming "You're not on my friends list; I removed you a long time ago."
Actually, I don't recall her ever being on my friend list.

She refused to acknowledge the fact that I was molested as a child.  Expected.  She refused to acknowledge that a niece was raped (Expected)

Honestly, Jeanne... I hope you get what you want.  But name-calling is very unbecoming a lady, and it bothers me that you'd stoop to Alinsky tactics.

I pointed out that Clinton's Travel as SOS means nothing.  That's not an accomplishment, it's incidental to the job.  You refused to acknowledge Benghazi.  You don't accept the fact that Clinton's husband has a list of accusers a mile long, and possibly an illegitimate son (This one is merely rumored, so I didn't even mention it on FB)

I pointed out the fact that she accused a child of being the aggressor at a rape trial and that she lost her law license.  Of course, that is "Irrelevant."

Despite your attitude and inability to debate without name-calling, I harbor no ill will against you.
Politics is a dirty business and it ALWAYS brings out the worst in everyone.  It's hard to stay civil when people lie about everything.

I fear for our nation if Clinton is elected.  I'm not much more confident if Trump is.  Either way, we will endure 4 more years of hell.

I hope that you are correct in your belief.  But I wasn't wrong in the last 8 years under Obama.

Some people (including the idiots at facebook) are likely to find this "Offensive."  But they're idiots.

But with 3 attacks (2 bombs, a third that was found beforehand!) and stabbings, I have to wonder if they still believe this to be "Islamophobia."

The Obama QUOTE is REAL, and the attacks (including not far from where I lived in MN) are frightening.

Where is compassion?

Politics is dirty business.  You know it.  I know it.  Anyone who is involved in it knows it.

Today, Hillary started feeling overheated at the 9/11 memorial.  Despite my total disagreement with her on the issues, especially immigration and health care, I wish her a quick recovery.

But one of my old friends... I don't know what's happened to him.  I mean, I find this political rants amusing at times, and powerful at times.  But today... He went off so "half-cocked" including what could have been classified a threat.  Seriously, what he was suggesting was NOT a laughing matter, and certainly couldn't have been construed as satire.

I put a note up on FACEBOOK, regarding the situation.  I only hope he takes it the way it is meant.  If not, there isn't much I can do.

My Reply read as follows.

L-----, despite our dislike of Hillary, she, as a human, deserves some compassion.

If she is sick, she deserves prayers NOT ridicule. And your statement about a "Double dose" is cause for major concern! This is NOT Christian behavior!

And that comment COULD lead to the Secret Service showing up at your door.

I disagree with her on practically everything. Where in the New Testament does it say "Badmouth your enemies"? Politics STILL needs to be tinged with compassion. It is getting dirty and I, for one, am disgusted with it.

My wife has been in the hospital. I call for prayers not vituperation! Let's see a little compassion. You don't have to agree with Hillary, but you can at least tone down the rhetoric. I don't like seeing anyone sick... regardless of friction or disagreements that are a part of politics, compassion is what makes us Spiritual beings.

It showed a newborn...or maybe a few days old infant...In a PLASTIC GARBAGE BAG! The caption placed by the person who shared said "7 years bad luck if you scroll by. Like and share."

DOES THIS DIMWIT EVEN REALIZE WHAT THE HECK SHE SAID?

IMO, this is condoning MURDER... A BABY, mind you... in a GARBAGE BAG.
This is really sending the wrong message! 1: Supporting MURDER. 2) Calling a Child "GARBAGE." 3. Supporting the abandoning of a BABY...They tell you to "LIKE AND SHARE" such an action or wish you 7 years bad luck?!

THINK ABOUT IT... Do you find it objectionable?

I saw something someone had posted about the "problems" that the GOP has caused since Ford. They mentioned Ford's Pardon of Nixon, Iran-Contra, Bush I (No new taxes) Bush II (Iraq).

Let me go back a bit: Truman: Made the choice to drop the A-Bomb on Japan.

Truman: Got the US involved in Korea.

JFK had a Mistress. His failed foreign policy at Bay Of Pigs led directly to the Cuban missile crisis and it was actually RUSSIA that ended the standoff with a compromise. Just a heartbeat from Nuclear War. Johnson's failed domestic policies led to the assassinations of Malcolm Little, Martin Luther King, Jr, and RFK. He also blew it in Vietnam.

Carter's weak foreign policy and inability to recognize an Islamic Threat in Iran led to the takeover or the embassy, and his inability to get the hostages free is unparalleled.

Clinton is a sex offender, lied under oath about Monica Lewisky, Gennifer Flowers and more. Weak domestic policy led to Waco, and the Oklahoma City Bombing at the Murrah Building. Don't forget the attack on our ships, either. All of this led to 9/11.

Gore started to tear down our infrastructure with his refusal to acknowledge his loss in 2000. Obama has destabilized race relations, education has gone to pot, Christians and Jews are being persecuted in the US and Overseas, Crime has increased, attacks against law enforcement have skyrocketed, Islam is on the march. Holder has "Fast and Furious" and there is the nice attack against the farmers in AZ and a complete military operation there as well as in Oregon. And yet, in between golf games, he pushes "Climate Change."

"Political Correctness", aka CENSORSHIP, is rampant.

I can't trust Hillary. I'm not sure I can trust Trump. And Johnson is the world's biggest question mark.

Potential running-mates for the two major parties.

The fields are all but set... even if the DFL is still UP IN THE AIR... Stupid delegates and all.

So, turn your eye to running mates.

Clinton, if she manages to gain the nod, with or without the Stupid Delegates...

She needs someone who is ideologically like her.  But this will alienate Sanders supporters.  Sanders disagrees with her on some topics, and this is going to kill any chance of him being her VP.  And I'm not sure he'd want it.
     So, what is needed?
      If she chooses a woman, that will alienate men.  That will cost her some support.  Her running-mate needs to be younger by 10-25 years, or she will alienate the late baby-boom generation and POGS.
      If she chooses a non-Caucasian male, she will offend many of the white male democrats.
       I do NOT envy her position.
       Her best bet is likely to be Sanders, anyway.
       So, who do we have?  Let's take a peek, and see if we can divine the possibles.
There's Sanders.  Opposite on Gun Control.  Too much "Free Stuff"  Pushing the $15.00/hour wage is a problem and most GOP will not support.  Businesses certainly won't.  There's Elizabeth Warren, aka "Fauxohantas."  The claim of Native American on her part has been debunked.  But liars don't care.  And neither do fools.
Pelosi (Pee-Lousy).  This would be tantamount to political suicide.
Boxer:  2 women on the ticket is likely to offend men and they will rise up.
Somebody suggestion her husband as VP.  This is Constitutionally forbidden.
Hillary Needs to look a male in the Southwest.  Biden isn't likely to want to serve in the same position again.

Trump has it easier..A little, anyway.  Anyone, male or female, who is minority, or just female..Lots of choices, but many have turned down.
1) Martinez, New Mexico.  Woman, Minority (Latino), relatively young, somewhat well-known.  All pluses.
Unfortunately, she's indicated no, but I suppose it could change.
2) Rubio.  He's said he doesn't want.
3) Sheriff Joe:  Likely to be too old and that is going to be a heated topic.
4) Chris Christie:  Too liberal for me.  From NJ is likely to cause trouble, because both would be from the same geographic area.
5) Rick Santorum.  Not well known, really, outside of PA.  Wasn't really well liked there.
6) Sarah Palin.  Good choice, but maybe too much baggage.
7) Ted Cruz.  Are you kidding me?  Trump and Cruz do not get along.  Although Cruz WOULD ensure Texas in Trump's pocket -- it's not likely.
8) Nikki Haley, S.C.  She's pretty much said no already.
9) Condoleezza Rice.  Solid, female, black, conservative.  Everything that's needed.  Cons:  not really interested, may be too close to Trump's age, perhaps too much baggage from Bush years.

Trump needs to look SOUTH and WEST (That's an idea:  Allen West), possibly California, to at least give him a fighting chance in California.

There's time, yet.  Look for Clinton's announcement by mid-July, probably late June.  Look for Trump's about July 4th.

Before us, now, the abyss awaits...

So, Shrillary Killem wins California. BUT... Despite her being the "Presumptive" nominee, she will NOT have enough delegates to win on the first ballot. She needs every "STUPID DELEGATE" she's got.

Right now, that looms big. There are about 60 days until the Convention. Lots can happen. She could be indicted, criminally indicted, by a grand jury. She could make a statement like Jesse Jackson did in 1984 that cost him his chance. She could offend an entire group. Burned-up Sandwich could manage to siphon 20% of the Clinton Supporters. If he gets just 100 or so of those delegates the tables will be turned.

The Stupid Delegates, however, are just that: Stupid. They're going to support Shrillary, no matter what. They're racist and sexist, and they're going to support her because of her sex. It doesn't matter what shady stuff she's done. It doesn't matter what scandals she's been in. She's got a "Va-gee-gee", so they'll support her.

47% of the people will support her because it means "Free Stuff." and more than 50% of those will vote for her no matter what.

It doesn't matter that her husband has been accused of rape. It doesn't matter that she told the Ambassador at Benghazi to stand down. It doesn't matter that she's been involved in questionable deals.

Enter Sanders supporters. Some of them will not go quietly. They'll urge him to run as an independent. (Read COMMIE). He could siphon off enough from her to cause havoc.

Trump is STILL a Self-funded campaign-- although some might argue that the Great America Super PAC is raising money. But the DFL candidates are taking it from other countries, in violation of Federal law.

Enter the #Nevertrump group. They may push a 3rd party run by Cruz. Or Ryan. Or someone yet not really on radar.

Only 30-40% of the eligible voters will vote. We will be ruled, either way, by a minority.

DFL says it's "Discrimination" to have to show an ID at the polls. In order to get in to the convention, you need to show an ID. Somewhat Ironic, no?

Pray for our country, folks. We're going downhill fast...but at the end of that is a cliff...We need to stop the descent NOW.

An open letter to the President

I'm upset.  I admit it.  And I am one who has fought the "UNAFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE ACT" from the beginning.

Now, I'm disgusted.

So, I wrote to the man in the big white house, today.  And THIS is what I said.

SIR:  You have failed to explain how someone who has no job, no income, is supposed to be able to afford your ridiculous tax/insurance mandate!

My wife has been looking for a job for more than 2 years... and has NOT been able to get more than 2 or three interviews out of hundreds of applications.

I am disabled; I am on Medicare, my wife is approaching retirement, but we need everything we can get.

PLEASE EXPLAIN how we are supposed to be able to follow this rule?

I invite you to CALL, but I doubt that you will.

I request some insight as to how we manage without losing our house!

Short and to the point.  I am willing to BET that I get no intelligent response.  I bet that I get a "VOTE DFL, CONTRIBUTE TO OUR CANDIDATES" message.

And I bet that there will be no call, not that I would expect one.

IF...and that's a very big "IF"... I get a response, I'll post it here.  But I sure as hell don't expect one.  That's just a fact...not even in question-- AS I SEE IT!

OK, folks -- there is ONE TOPIC that I will no longer comment on, mainly because it leads to false accusations against me. I will not comment on the topic and if it comes up in any fashion with pictures or not... I am going to hide it from the timeline. (That is, facebook.  I won't comment on the topic here, either!)

I have enough trouble dealing with Politics and Lies from both sides; I don't need a completely unrelated topic being flung in my face with comments that are simply not true. 

The topic is a particular type of crime. This type of crime cannot be prevented fully, but it can be deterred. People need to be safe on the streets, in restaurants, and in their own homes. HOW you go about deterring this crime is up to you. It's up to YOU to keep from being a victim. This doesn't say it still can't happen. It can. Our civilization has not yet passed the threshold where we can say, "We are evolved enough to commit no crimes." And as long as we are human, We will probably never be able to say that. But it IS something towards which we must work.

We can't deny the problem and make it go away.  But we can't solve the problems while Accusations are being flung like so many dishrags -- AS I SEE IT

A Caucus Primer for those who've never been to one

Politics is such a dirty word.  It conjures up pictures of old men with cigars, smoke filled rooms, constant wheeling and dealing -- kind of like what some people think conventions are.  And I'll grant ya, at one time these pictures were accurate.  But a lot has changed (And lots hasn't) in the last 70 years.  Or even 50.

I've gone to more caucuses than most people I know.  I was a Minnesotan, the caucus is the mainstay of political life there.  Sure, there are primaries, conventions, and there's some backstabbing going on...that's all part of the political process.  I was at the caucuses every caucus year from 1980-2006.  I missed 2008 because I couldn't get the night off, and I missed 2010 due to influenza A.

The caucus process isn't difficult, not in the least.  The rules are general, you do need to acknowledge the chair.

Just what happens?

1) You sign in.  In essence, you are pledging to vote for this party in the election.  This isn't a closed primary in which you must vote for the people.  You declare if you'd like to be a delegate to the county convention, or district, or state... You pick up some info from the candidates.  You mingle with a few of the others, learning about what they think.  At 7 PM (for MN) The meeting is called to order.  We give the Pledge of Allegiance.

Then we listen to a statement by the chair.  It is general only a few minutes.  At that time, statements are given by representatives of the major candidates.  Those may be 5 minutes each.  Then we get a kind of "State of the party, and state of the state/union address."  So far, not much is going on, right?

THEN comes a straw poll.  In MN, it's not binding.  Neither is it in Iowa.  But it helps to narrow down who the people believe have the best shot of doing the job right.

Then, what's next?  We start writing out suggestions, ideas that we want our candidates to support.  That could be a balanced budget amendment.  It could be something to do with gay rights.  It may be something to do with credit reports and employment (I did one like that in 2000).  It may do with jobs, health care, Social security.  Almost anything goes, here.

The plank suggestions are read by the chair.  There is a debate (if needed).  Then it's a simple "AYE" or "NAY" vote.  If the item is approved, it is forwarded to the next step -- generally a local convention (in my case, it was congressional district).  If not, it dies -- generally.  But with hundreds of caucuses around the state, someone else may have it brought up and approved.

We then elect the delegates.  This is done by secret ballot (Like the straw poll).  We have to learn about them, or trust them with our opinions.  But we are generally bound by our honor to the desires of the people attending the caucus.

Towards the end, we may request rule modifications for the next caucus.  We could do that early for anything at the start, but it's very limited.   The Chair can call for candidates to fill the positions that may open up.  Ever caucus I went to, we voted on who would want to be chair for next time, recording secretary, or along that line.  Only 2 times that I recall was someone stepping down...and generally not many wanted to take the position.  Not that I blame 'em, of course.

The caucus can continue for hours, but it must last at least one hour, by rule.  I had one that went 2.5 hours.  most were under 1 hour 15 minutes.  I'm not sure if that tells you if we're of one mind, or if there just aren't a lot of people.  Sometimes it's both.  But none of the caucuses I attended in the cities had fewer than 50, and the 4 I had in the country had at least 30.

The caucus isn't so difficult to understand.  The CONVENTIONS, on the other hand -- well, I leave that to your imagination.  Politics may not be "FUN", but it is a needed part of political life in non-primary states...AS I SEE IT!

seems like only yesterday

But it was nearly 4 years ago when I was writing on politics, in particular DFL -- The Hillary-Barack battle.  Now, we are rapidly (THANK GOODNESS) approaching the end of Obama's first (And many people hope only) term.  There are no challengers to him on his side.At least, none that we can see.  He's unopposed by any DFL member.

4 years ago, it was a battle on GOP -- McCain, Romney, Huckabee...and I was preparing for the MN caucus.  I missed it: I was battling influenza A.  But I had done my research.  I was not going to do more than a "token" vote ; the straw poll isn't binding.

4 years, and 1500 miles away, this year I prepare for my first PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY.  It's on Tuesday, January 31st, here in Florida.  Unless I wind up in the hospital or something extreme happens, I will be casting my first vote in Florida.

I've been watching.  There's little civility, if any.  It's enough to turn me off.  But I know:  It's my duty to get out there.  This isn't a general election.  It's little more than a "beauty contest.,"  But I've tried to follow the candidates.  I was a T-Paw fan.  Then he dropped.  Bachmann fell by the wayside.  Cain was forced out.  Huntsman Shuffled aside.  The candidates dwindled.  I found myself with a choices that were not acceptable. Except one.

I know of "Romneycare"...And I find it nothing more than a mirror image of Obama-care, and NEITHER is any good.  Obama's is worse, because of the "extra taxes" that are being forced on to us, the consumer.

PAUL -- Too much of "Maverick" for me.  His anti-Israel views hurt him.  and it's gonna see a "Drop" soon. Maybe as soon as Tuesday.

Gingrich -- Well, I have a few words about his infidelity.  If it comes down to him vs. Oblamebushforya, I still won't support "O".  But I'm not sure I can support "G", either.  Sure, I like Newt's vision of a moon base.  But I don't see how I can support a guy who's been married 3 times.  I had a hard enough time justifying 2 with McCain.

That leaves Santorum.  A little of an unknown to me, but at least some of our views match.  I can say that about ALL the GOP candidates, though.  "Some" of our views match.

We need JOBS, not job killing (See Solyndra, Keystone pipeline),  We need spending cuts before increasing taxes.  We need a balanced budget, and a budget from the Senate.  We're getting NONE of this from "O".

Florida is a "Winner take all" state, I understand.  But I don't trust the polls.  And I can't see any way that Gingrich and Romney would pair up, nor Romney and Santorum...CERTAINLY not Paul!
While Florida may be a "Winner take all" state, there's a problem:  They won't get full delegate support.  Neither will NH, nor SC.  Rules and bylaws of the party give us pause.  But even if any one candidate slips by (By even 1 vote), Florida is done... and the winner may just grab the coveted nomination.

Whoever the Republicans finally choose -- there will still be a division in the party.  At least, for a little while.

So far:  Romney won NH.  Santorum succeeded in Iowa.  Gingrich got the nod in South Carolina. While Florida won't determine the final outcome (Bet on California),  expect whosoever comes in 4th to drop.  If it's Paul, you might expect a "3rd party" showing up.  Some would say the show's already over.  Some would say it's just beginning.  But, As I see it,  The show isn't over, nor is it beginning.  It's not a "SHOW" at all.  It's a circus.  It's an asylum.  And it's got to be solved before, and I mean LONG before JUNE...since the convention is in August.  We need to put aside our petty squabbles...and focus on the task at hand:  Removing an incompetent President (Or a usurper?).  If we don't make peace amongst ourselves, we get what we deserve.  It's a Frightening thought.

Yes, just think of what 4 more years of Obama is likely to do.  If that doesn't frighten you, you're a bit of a fool:  AS I SEE IT!

I am very tired of politics right now, so I am very glad that this campaign is almost over.  Not a day goes by now without another attack ad in the mail.  I'm tired of it, and am getting to the point where I won't even look at it.  Yesterday brought another "Vote for me" type agenda in the mail, this one from the sheriff of the county in which I live.

 

Therefore, I write this letter to the sheriff, and explain a few things.

 

Dear Sheriff:

 

My wife and I received your letter today which requested that we vote for you.  I'll get into that shortly, but I want you to realize that our names are NOT "Mr and Mrs Registered Voters." (As you very well know!)

 

I am both amazed and rather amused that you would request our votes.  You have your first challenger in 8 years, as I have determined, so you have someone breathing down your neck.  I guess you're too busy looking over your shoulder right now to bother with our names.

 

I am not going to vote for you.  Nor will I vote for your opponent.  In fact, I will not vote for any judges, either, nor anyone who is in any way associated with the "Justice System" in this election.

 

I have no time to vote for anyone whose department has illegally detained, harassed and questioned me and my wife, and has ignored my requests for assistance in retrieving property and ignored the crimes committed against me and our property many times in the last 4 years.

 

This all started in 2006, but things began to reach a boiling point in 2007 when you and your lackeys started hounding us over our animals.  You were quite aware of our kennel variance, but you chose to ignore it, instead demanding we show you the paperwork.  Just check the damn courthouse, buddy!  It's listed there.  Then you started bothering us over the untidiness of the house.  THEN you had one of our neighbors yell and scream over the animals again, which got us hauled into court, and we were forced to pay almost a F***ING GRAND in attorney fees (Which we could not afford), and the forced us to miss house payments, which in turn got us foreclosed.

 

You call THAT justice?  I call it F***ING HARASSMENT!

 

So far, you've delivered a lawsuit (Which we had to spend to stop, and we DID stop it, you bastard).  I got bit by a cat, and instead of showing concern for me the victim, you come in and demand to see the Livestock.  That is uncalled for!  And you bastards threw me in cuffs for no damned reason in May of 2009.  You stopped me when I was walking home one night (Again for no damned reason) and questioned me.  During a "routine" stop, your lackeys had the gall to question me about my religious faith.  Tell me what damn difference that makes, you fool!

 

You've delivered foreclosure papers (Which was caused by the damn fees we had to pay the court for your damned nonsense! 

 

And you sent a freaking check for $1.00  -- a check which my lawyer believed to be some sort of scam.  I've not cashed it-- in fact, I am returning it to you with this letter.  I suggest you stop trying to trick us, and start chasing the felons that have been committing the serious crimes in this area.

 

Instead of helping us retrieve our property from a convicted drunkard, you've ignored our request AND you have ignored the complaints about trespassers on this land!

 

And you want me to vote for you?!

 

I will not vote for you.  Nor will I vote for any judge running in this district.  NOR will I vote for county attorney, nor any freaking TAX AND SPEND Lawyer running for office.

 

I Strongly suggest that you get a life -- instead of trying to make others miserable.

American double-standards

The hypocrisy of the American people is so wide-spread that it is astonishing, and yet the biggest hypocrites can't see their own contradictions with-in themselves. Or, as Yeshua ben Yosef said it:, "How can you see the speck in your brother's eye, without noticing the beam in your own?" The Constitution is clear, but people don't see the problems. The same people who are crying out for freedom of the press in regards to Pornography want to silence those opposed to it. The same people who are yelling "Censorship!" when a TV station bleeps the "F-word", are the same ones who are trying to pull the plug on Rush. Those who are pushing for abortion are against the death penalty, or vice versa. It's "Black History Month," as most of you are aware. And so many are saying "It's about time!" But if I tried to establish a "White History Month," I'd be branded as "Racist." Last month contained "Martin Luther King, Jr." day. I ask "WHY?" I'm branded racist. To go a step further, you can point out his Religion, which was almost always a theme in his Civil Rights speeches. Yet, if I tried to establish a "Jerry Falwell" holiday, They'd be yelling for "Separation of Church and State." The meaning of this phrase has been lost. It means, "GOVERNMENT, KEEP OUT OF RELIGION." It means do not pass laws favoring one religion over another. And yet our "Esteemed Government" is prohibiting free exercise of religion by CHRISTIANS, favoring Islam, Judaism, witchcraft, Hinduism, or Atheism. The Christian is unfairly singled out. If I were in Congress and and a crucifix on my wall, or a Bible on my desk, they'd be yelling for "Separation of Church and State." Yet, if I were Muslim and had a copy of the Koran on my desk, these same idiots would be defending it as "Freedom of Religion." They cannot see the hypocrisy in their own statements, applying their own double-Standards as Gospel. My response to them is: IF my fellow congressman has a right to have his Koran on his desk, I have the right to have my Bible, Crucifix, or nativity scene. I wonder what Jefferson would say. Or Washington. Or Lincoln. EXTRA, EXTRA-- BY 5-4 Vote Supreme Court declares itself God! When the law of man is based on the Law of God, I have no problem. But when the Law of Man contradicts the Law of God, I will follow the Law of God. Tell me, how many of the commandments can you name? I can name ALL TEN. I don't have to look it up. I know I've fallen short. But the LORD doesn't demand that we kill ourselves. He's already paid the full price. We choose to ignore it. The FACT is: To eliminate our own double-standards, we must immerse ourselves entirely in the Law of God. That's our only hope: AS I SEE IT!

Ranting on and on about the non-existent

I'm sure everyone has heard the joke that states, "I've made up my mind; don't confuse me with facts." I know a few people like that. I'm sure you do, as well. They are the "Birthers", the "Truthers", the "doomsayers", the "UFO conspiracy" folks. They are the ones who refuse to look at what's REALLY happening, the ones who won't (or can't) devour data. Quacks don't really fall into this category. But they prey on those who do.

However, my thoughts focus on only one particular aspect of these people (I'll save the quacks for another time-- the quacks and the fools who follow them).

I could call this "The Global Warming Hoax, Part II," and it would accurate enough.

I still hear the siren's call--"We're warming up. The glaciers are melting. It's all Man's fault, and we're doomed! We need action now." FORTUNATELY, I'm lashed to the mast of reality.

Last winter in Minnesota, we had some cold days. -34, -30, -27... The cold started in November, and didn't let up. We usually have a "January thaw." This means temps above freezing, maybe as high as 40. This is usually followed by a cooling off period, which gradually vanishes as the end of February arrives. I know of one exception: 1982. It was a year in which nearly no below zero temps were recorded in my area. Where were the "Globabblist" people? They didn't exist. The theory that indicated a "Warming" hadn't yet been advanced. But it's amazing how many have bought into that theory.

They've been babbling on and on about the glaciers, about the Polar Bear, about the "Greenhouse gases" and Ozone...Strangely, Ozone (O3) is classified a pollutant near the surface, but essential in the upper atmosphere. I've never been able to understand why a difference of 10 miles can make such a difference. I'm not doubting that there is one, but it seems strange.

What puzzles me so much is how the idiots can claim "Global Warming" when over the last two years in the Northern Hemisphere have been BELOW AVERAGE temps, as a whole. You see all the stuff on blogs, but nobody EVER points to the scientific evidence...

So far, they've been yelling about the warming this winter. In Minnesota, we've not yet had a low above 0 in my area. We've had nearly a month below freezing. All temps have been at least a couple of degrees below average. In the last 3 weeks, we've had 10 days of temps below -20.

Temps in Death Valley have been lows in the 30s, and it's plummeted to temps in the teens in Florida, 20s in southern Florida (Including Tampa and Miami), and Key West hasn't been anywhere near normal. Dallas has had temps colder than most people in those parts ever experience.

"THEY" say it's a "Blip." Two weeks is a blip. 3 weeks is crazy. 2 years of colder than average around here is unbelievable. Last winter was cold. This winter has been "Not as cold", but been cold LONGER. I don't see a "thaw" this year, either.

Last year, the ice on the lakes was a couple of weeks BEHIND SCHEDULE in vanishing. Some lakes might not have made it to ice-free when the Fishing Opener hit. That was mid-May.

"They" say it's "Local." Minnesota alone is Local. Or Illinois. Not the entire country. And if "they" say it's because the US is small, CHINA had coldest temps in 40 years, most snow in 50. NORWAY hit a -42. Beijing had 3, Russia wasn't warm.

I had to be fair, examine the Southern hemisphere as well. Temps in the 40s and 50s for lows in South Africa (Highs in the low 70s) Along the Equator, in Quito (Ecuador), temps not much more than 65 (One day I saw it was 77). Sydney has fluctuated between 48 and 80. One time I check Santiago, Chile, got 81. Ok, but it IS summer there, right?

I checked temps in Rio, Brasilia, and Kenya. Some of those "Highs" were barely mid 60s. One day, there was and 80+ reading in Brasilia, and and high 70s in Rio.

I checked the reports from Vostok. Summer there, altitude is a bit high, so I took that into account. the HIGHS are still below 0. How can ice melt if the temp is below freezing, and there is no precip of any kind? The info was showing highs of not better than -9 (predicted) with lows in the -40, -50 range, excluding windchill.

Back to the north, we had record lows for almost a week in August in my area. We had SNOW in Late September, and enough to measure in Early October.

They STILL scream "Warming." I scream "Liar!"

Stop trying to fill us with bull shit. LOOK AT THE FACTS. Look at the conditions that are dominating the globe in the North, and haven't had a lack of effect in the south.

Globabble, yes. "Global Warming"? Well, I've not seen it here. Don't tell me it's because it's local. The Equator to the Pole in the North, plus colder temps in the south -- tells me that you are full of it.

That's the meat of the matter on "Global Warming" -- AS I SEE IT.

Everybody wants to get into the act.

Today's number, for you numerilogical nuts, is 41250. Almost put 41270. Boy, I'm glad I caught that. Of course 41250=406251. Are you STILL having trouble guessing? I never woulda thought....:)

It seems that EVERYBODY wants to get into the act. You may recognize that expression as coming from the Late Jimmy Durante, aka "The Shnozz."

Today, there's a letter demanding 500 bucks (Which we ain't got), to be paid in 15 days at the latest. Then there's another demanding 1914.60 to be paid in 60 days. (That's impossible, too). Somebody else calls, requesting 200 bucks. (How's that? HEY, BUDDY, have you seen my bank account recently?)

Then, a canary award nominee for August writes and tells us to REPLACE THE ROOF, OR WE WILL NOT INSURE YOU. HOW the HELL am I supposed to come up with 10 grand to replace the roof? I had it repaired 2 years ago, but the half-witted fools claim it was never done. I HAVE my proof, but it's packed away because we'll be moving. Trying to find that proof is going to be like locating a needle in a haystack.

This morning, there was a call from another nitwit, whom we've told before, "You'll get it when we've got it, and not before. Don't call us again!" Of course the BANK wants money, as do the mortgage companies. How is a guy to play tomato? (IE, Catch-up?)

I expect calls tomorrow from at least 10 different idiots, and I know exactly what I am going to say. "Tell ya what, buddy. You give me enough to pay you guys off, and I'll be happy. But you can't afford it, either, can ya, dude?"

On the crazy side, today CNN reported Secretary of State Clinton was in Kenya. Dancing. Dancing her fool head off. She's got more rhythm than Obama! And to top it off, one Kenyan man offered her some goats and cows in exchange for Chelsea as his second wife.
There is NO INFORMATION on whether or not that offer was accepted. I certainly wouldn't give away my daughter for some cows and goats. If he were to throw in a Lincoln, on the other hand...(LOL!)

Yep, it seems that goofiness is everywhere, and money grabbers are still trying to get what I ain't got. They keep it up much longer, and they'll get NOTHING. It's a simple fact... AS I SEE IT.

WARNING: Living is hazardous to your health

Today's number is 49250. I feel ancient, and not science, nor medical, nor politicians are helping the matter.

Oh, why are we not born with warning labels? EVERYONE should be. "Warning, Life may be hazardous to your health."

Someone declares that there are no "Fat Japanese." NO? I can point to SUMO WRESTLERS as being grossly overweight. Some of them weigh 500,600, 700 pounds or more.

Some models and actresses are as thin as toothpicks. They starve themselves for their profession, killing themselves for fleeting fame. This isn't healthy. It's damn sad!

Around the world, some people go without food for days for various reasons: lack of money, drought, war, food shortages.

In Football (American style) you're heavy. STUPID, but heavy. I mean, why the HELL should you have to weigh 260 pounds? Or worse, look at "The Refrigerator." Doesn't he weigh up in the high 300s?

Look at me, now. I'm 5'10", and I currently weigh about as much as I did in high school. Two years ago I weighed 215. In a year's time, without doing anything special, I dropped more than 60 pounds. In fact, I dropped 70, and weighed less than what I did in Junior High. I've now stabilized and weigh 25 pounds less than what is on my license. 12 years ago I weighed 160. 8 years ago, it was 185. 4 years ago, it was 185. In 2006 I soared to 215. In 2008, I was back to 140.

We're all "Morbidly Obese" according to the medical profession. They tell us to drink juices, eat more veggies, more fruits, less red meat. To quote a well know phrase, "If we're not supposed to eat animals, why are they made of meat?"

So, we switch to juices and diet sodas, fill up on oranges and grapefruit. We grab an energy drink when we're tired. We aren't eating properly for energy. We're grabbing the Atkins's diet, the South Beach Diet, the Nutri-system plan, we join weight watchers. We may even go to the gym (After parking our car as close to the door as possible and using the escalator to go up 4 flights of stairs.)

Now dentists get in on the act. Tea is harmful to teeth. So is juice. And energy drinks are the worst. Drink water only! (But only after it's been fluoridated)

The EPA tells you that water isn't safe. Phosphorous, Mercury, PCBs, and lead are in our water. So, we don't drink that either, right? Even rain is forbidden. (Acid rain, sulfurous water)

DON'T BREATHE THE AIR! It's full of harmful gasses! Carbon Monoxide, carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, methane -- it's all there, and all deadly. Helium, Hydrogen can kill without oxygen included. In fact, the highest O2 content is dangerous as well. It will burn you out.

NOW, politicians want to get in on the act. They want to keep you from eating. They want to tax "Fatty food." Sodas, Juice, candy. They'll want to tax meat, veggies. It ALL makes a person fat.

It's time to stop the insanity. We have to do it before all of us are a bunch of energyless, walking toothpicks without teeth.

That's food for thought. And if science, the medical profession, and dental profession have their way, all we'll be able to do is THINK. And, of course, the Government will tax that.

That's the problem. Govt, medical -- they're part of the PROBLEM, not the solution. And that's the FAT FACT... WARNING: LIVING MAY BE HAZARDOUS TO YOUR HEALTH...THAT'S THE TRUTH -- AS I SEE IT!

Time to throw in the towel?

The constitution of the U.S. provides that each State will have at least one member in the House, and two in the Senate.

Every 2 years, each Representative is up for election. Every 6 years, a Senator must face a challenge, either running again, or allowing someone else to take his or her seat. If a vacancy occurs, the states are given a choice as to how to deal with it. So WHY does Minnesota have only 1 Senator? One Senator -- for 3 months, now. In Minnesota, the Governor may appoint someone if a vacancy occurs. And yet, there is no action. Minnesota has only one Senator.

Now, you need to understand ME to understand my belief on this matter. And it may surprise you.
I am, for all intents and purposes, a Republican. I made Reagan look like a liberal in some things, and John Kerry look like a conservative in other things. It’s tough to understand, I know. I’ve vote 99.9% Republican since I first began voting. Before I could vote, I supported Nixon (twice), and Carter. I’ve been open-minded enough to support third parties, I’ve supported a couple of DFLers, and I even helped out financially in one Democrat’s campaign.

Anderson-Lucie in 1980. Perot-Stockdale in 1982. James Janos in 1998. All third party. Two conservative, one more liberal. Supported Pawlenty once, Hatch once. Perpich once. Every thing else (Except for what might be called “non-partisan” races) has been G.O.P., no to taxes, no to horse racing, no to gambling.

So, back to the original topic: One Senator. Minnesota deserves 2. And yet, an extremely close election is denying Minnesota its right to a second Senator.

What can we do? Both Franken and Coleman have contested this race right down to the wire. But the thing is OVER. What was 400 votes in victory for Coleman has become a 225 vote lead for Franken-creep.

For the good of the state, it must end. It’s no longer just “Stupid” to continue, but outright wasteful and completely pathetic.

Do we call for another election? Wasteful! Do we draw lots? More contention. Do we have the Governor appoint someone? We had 2 people within 300 votes of each other. Neither got a majority. But what happens if the Governor appoints?

No, it’s time for one of the two candidates to withdraw. It’s time to throw in the towel. Stop denying us our representation. Even if more than 50% of the people didn’t vote for the “winner,” it’s time to say “For the good of the state of Minnesota, it is time to allow my opponent to take office.”

I am Republican. I supported Coleman. I detest Franken. But what is left? Barkley? The third party candidate who gathered 16% of the vote?

It’s time to say Goodnight, I’m afraid. Mr. Coleman, are you listening?
