On the Government shutdown

On the 22nd of December, 2018, the Government began a partial shutdown.
Today is the 10th of January, 2019.

Phones go unanswered.  Construction is delayed.  TSA lines are long and slow.
But seriously... does ANYONE, other than Government employees, see anything DIFFERENT?
I'm not.  Those who are just moving into Social Security might be.  Medicare?  They're always slow.
FBI?  Still working.  Army?  Going without pay, I gather.

What began as a massive game of Chicken is now a staring contest.  Who blinks first?

Trump isn't caving.  He wants 5 BILLION for the Wall.  The Democrats STILL won't give it to him.

Congress is getting paid.  Trump hasn't been accepting a salary, as such, donating everything to various causes.

The gridlock continues.  Trump is about to go into the record books as the President with the longest shutdown.

There can be no compromises when neither side will budge.

Would this happen if Congress wasn't getting paid?  Probably not.

I've been looking at various scenarios as to how both side can escape unscathed, neither winning, nor losing.  There are none.

So, what are the other scenarios?
1)  Trump caves.  Take it on the chin, you lose.  The Wall was the Primary Promise.  If he can't get the Democrats to fund even the slightest border security, we're in trouble.
2) The Democrats cave.  They've got nothing to lose, here.  They can continue to hold their breath for as long as the shut can go on.
3.)  Congress caves.  They pass a bill to fund the govt, except the wall.  Trump Vetoes.  Congress overrides.  Democrats would need 70 more votes from the House to get that 2/3 level.  And they'd need 23 GOP Senators, if my figures are right.
4) Impeachment happens.  The Senate, however, needs to try, and the possibility of removal is less than 10%, IMO.
5) The People revolt against the DFL.  They demand things be reopened.
6) The people revolt against the GOP.   Ditto comment above.
7)  The People revolt against everyone.  Total civil war.  Death, Destruction, Pestilence.
8) Martial law is declared.  odds:  7-3 against.  But worrisome.
9) Total Economic collapse.  Major trouble for everyone.

I can't see a win for either side.  I CAN see an invasion happening.  Might be Russia, China, North Korea, Mexico or Canada.  Not France, not England.

Trump wants the Wall.  Democrats want murder (Abortion), free stuff (Socialism), open borders (invasion) and Gun Confiscation.

2 years is a long time to be shut down.

Is there any hope, at all?  We're in a tempest, the winds whip about, shit flies like debris in a tornado or hurricane.

What will it take?  I don't care to speculate on that.

Whatever happens will have long term consequences on the US.  And the world.

There are 2 -- likeliest --  scenarios.  One, I may not bandy about in public.
The other-- total collapse unless someone caves.

BUT... Isn't everything still running?  "Non-essential" is curtailed.  But for how long?
HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?
At this rate, 2021... without anything to let the government and the Republic, survive.

Worrisome?  Well... People have been wanting anarchy.  It's on the way...

If you are calling everyone a racist, expect the same.

IF you're calling Islam a RACE, and you're hyping "Gun control", don't expect favors.

If you support Illegal Immigration (IE, crossing the border without proper authorization or deliberately overstaying a visa), MS-13, Hamas, Jihadists like Linda Sarsour, Terrorists in General, Communists, you're not likely to be welcomed with open arms. A RANT... Please understand how disgusted I am.

I spotted while surfing FB, a picture which was so thoroughly disgusting, so evil, that I cannot help but vent!

It showed a newborn...or maybe a few days old infant...In a PLASTIC GARBAGE BAG! The caption placed by the person who shared said "7 years bad luck if you scroll by. Like and share."

DOES THIS DIMWIT EVEN REALIZE WHAT THE HECK SHE SAID?

IMO, this is condoning MURDER... A BABY, mind you... in a GARBAGE BAG.
This is really sending the wrong message! 1: Supporting MURDER. 2) Calling a Child "GARBAGE." 3. Supporting the abandoning of a BABY...They tell you to "LIKE AND SHARE" such an action or wish you 7 years bad luck?!

THINK ABOUT IT... Do you find it objectionable?

If you don't, you're not human, IMO! Apes, other mammals, birds..they take care of their young!

That people do this at all REALLY bugs me. But now... Look at this from the point of view of someone who was forced to give up a child.
Then examine the POV of an adopted child.

The world has gone mad.

This morning, the news is out of Minnesota.  And the news is troubling, to say the very least.

A black man, 32 years old, is pulled over by a cop the previous evening.  The car, apparently, had a broken taillight, And I don't know if the part was on order or not.  The man had his girlfriend and her daughter with him.

The driver informs the officer that he has a concealed-carry permit and has a weapon on him at the time.

The cop--doesn't think.  He starts screaming and kills the man, right in front of the lady and her daughter.

The woman is cuffed and thrown into the back of the squad car.  WTF?!

The world has gone mad!  Cops gunning down a cooperative individual, and probably not because of the weapon of he informed?!  This is appalling.

Has our system become a total police state where the innocent get killed, the guilty go free and the morons and haters rule?

This happened not far from where my sister lives, near the State Fair Grounds in Falcon Heights, MN.  The cop is now on "Paid leave."  Excuse me?  This is just wrong.

The world has gone mad.  This isn't a case of a man brandishing a weapon at the cops.  This is a case of either a Noob or a skinhead gone nuts.  Would banning weapons have done any good?  This is a case of the "Good guy" -- a man in uniform, sworn to protect and serve -- killing for no reason which I can discern.

Dayton, at least, has done the right thing by asking the DOJ to investigate.  But it doesn't excuse the action of the man with the badge!

There are protests.  Sure.  I agree.  The thing is, in MN, these protests are peaceful.  The demands are for justice, not reparations.  They are for explanations, not excuses.  Unlike Baltimore and Ferguson, it is apparently quiet...

Let's get the whole story, but DAMMIT...

In a world gone mad, sanity is revolutionary.  And when gunning someone down in such a manner is acceptable, it is time to stop and think.

Unless something comes to light proving otherwise, that the cop really believed he was going to be shot...video proof... it's time that the police department is evaluated for sanity and latent hatred.  It's just too much for me.

This isn't  Trump's America.  It's not Obama's America.  It is ours.  And we're becoming enarmored of violence, tolerant of race hatred, and the Devil's pawns.

It's time for a full investigation, and a full repent of the evil that is arising-- AS I SEE IT!

The lies are big...

I was positively FLOORED by the stupidity of something reported. Not the report, but that anyone could BELIEVE what was being said!

Some IDIOT who is with the ACLU... Blamed Christians for the mass shooting in the nightclub in Orlando. EXCUSE ME?!

There was no Christian firing an AR-15! There was no Christian firing a Glock and killing people at this club. There was no Christian walking into the bathrooms and gunning people down, point blank.

The man was a follow of Islam. Yes, and it has been reported BY THE POLICE that the man called 911 and declared his allegiance to ISIS.

I hope that my friends and family have at least some hold on reality. If they do not, I suggest they move to an Islamic country. Try being "gay" over there, openly. Watch how quickly you're picked up and executed.

The Satanists are winning. The Devil's deceptions are subtle and clever. He is working overtime. And we are not doing a thing to stop it.

This country is descending, quickly, into the jaws of Hell. The jaws will snap shut.

It's time to vent!

I've been away from here for some time, nearly 5 months, but now I'm FUMING...

The government of this country is supposed to protect, in so much as it is possible without denying us our God-given rights, the states and the people of this country.  The President is supposed to enforce the laws which are supposed to protect us -- and yet...

Current crisis is not averted and is the worst possible situation imaginable.

When Typhoid fever hit this nation, people were quarantined, carriers of the disease (even without symptoms) were kept apart (I hate to use the word segregated, but it is the word) to protect the rest of the people.  Typhoid was virulent, often fatal, and untreatable, incurable.  It was NOT, however, a swift killer.

Science and Physicians have managed to control, and in some cases eradicate or nearly so, diseases like rubella, smallpox, polio.  But many governments, our own included, sit on stockpiles of the germs and viruses, tampering with them to make them more effective killers.  HOW DOES THIS HELP US?!

Obama's refusal to enforce the border laws is becoming well known, and those who flood the border are carrying diseases which we've controlled well.  This is not safety!

But now, this government is doing (or not doing?) the unthinkable.  They are bringing home 2 people who are exposed to, and quite possibly will be come ill with, the most virulent and swiftest killer ever known in the realm of living things -- the one that could, conceivable, wipe out more than 90% of the world's population -- if that disease "gets loose."  And instead of doing something about it, the President is "letting it happen."

Atlanta is home to the only US acknowledged stockpile of Smallpox.  And they are bring in, with 2 very likely walking-dead individuals, the worst plague since the black death, and one that has the potential to do far and away more damage than Bubonic Plague every did.

DEVIL, THY NAME IS EBOLA.

To protect the health of our citizens, we MUST NOT allow the two to return, despite the fact that they are citizens.

We're told that the containment is the tightest in the country.  FOOL-PROOF?  Well, they're constantly building a better class of fool.

How long will it be before containment fails?  When will be notified that the disease is rampant and killing everyone?

We know the name of the co-conspirator.  If no order stopping the import of this disease is issued, we know, too, thy face.  But who, in 2 years, will be around to accuse you?

You are complicit in this plot to destroy if you take no action.  I'm watching.  The Nation watches.  And you, in your own self-absorbed, narcissistic way, play golf.  As I write this, the plane may be arriving.  Kiss your ass goodbye, America.  We're bringing home a killer who will soon be loose on the street and unstoppable.
