WHY VOTE?

On facebook, today, someone expressed the sentiment "Why vote?"

Indeed, why?  I mean, her statement is accurate enough:  Politicians are all alike, right?

Here was MY REPLY.

Why vote?
"He's gonna win, so why vote?"
Yeah, the same thought was often voiced before WWII. And the World Trembled when he WAS elected...HITLER.

"Why vote?" The year is more recent. There's a lot of fraud. "There's too much fraud; he's gonna win, so why vote?" In a state the population of 17 Million... only 146 votes...(that's about 2% of the Population of Fort McCoy, FL, or about the population of PEASE, MN)

"Why Vote?" The politicians are apparently carbon-copies of each other. They all seem to bash and tax you to death. "Why vote? They're all liars, they don't listen or do what we need."   SOON, we no longer have a Republic. We either have total anarchy or a dictatorship worse than Hitler's. WHY VOTE? Because: Apathy is infectious, and a deadly mold called corruption is in the government. We must constantly throw out the corruption. 

You don't eat rancid meat, do you? By allowing apathy -- "Why vote? He won't win!" --  You eat the rancid meat. 

Why vote? Because, if you don't...sooner or later, you will EAT the rancid meat. You WILL regret it. You will ALLOW others to "LORD IT OVER YOU." 

You get what you deserve. And when you do not vote, you deserve nothing. And sooner or later, that's what you'll get.
