Oh, SO TOLERANT

Bear with me here while I gripe a little.

I have someone GRIPING at me because of a minor thing on a post.
I could give the whole story here, names and all, but it's not worth it.

Last July started a landslide.  In August, I was told that my wife would need cardiac surgery.  She was in the hospital for over a week.  But there was no cardiac surgery, just a stent.  We said THE HECK WITH IT. (That was early September).  We're constantly called, harassed, to get the surgery done.  In order to do so, we had to get another appointment.  They set up a date, then tried to cancel it.  We told them stay with what you have given us, or we go elsewhere.  Finally, end of November, surgery.  My wife is in the hospital for about 2 weeks.  Over the next couple of months, I'm nursemaid, as well as my usual tasks (Which includes cooking, cleaning, washing, etc).
There are doc appointments over the next months.  We have taxes done (OUCH) and find we owe (Of course).  In April, there's a change in insurance policy, so that changes some stuff.  Then, on the 3rd, our vehicle is totaled.  We're without anything for 2 weeks!  Docs want appointments, but we have no way to get there.  2 weeks to settle a claim, THEN our insurance increases by about 50% (Even though we were NOT at fault!)

May comes.  Another policy change, medicare.  Insurance problems, high deductibles and co-pays with some of the "Covered" meds not covered at all!

Some other items are sent to the wrong policy, so they're declined.  We had to discuss THAT with the company involved (Which did not return our call -- I had to call THEM in JUNE!)  I may get stuck owing 147!

DTV tries to charge us 20/month on something we didn't order.  And the pharmacy tries to charge DOUBLE the co-pay on a med.  Turns out, they're trying to give 2 months worth without our permission.

In June, my wife developed an apparent ulcer.  Once again, a "Covered med" isn't covered.  We need tips (Syringe needles)  for one of her meds.  I'm told They have a big deductible.  So, more troubles.

For the last month or so, we've had nothing but doc appointments.  2 x a week!  50 miles round trip.  Plus an hour to 2 at the doc.  Seriously.
We're not even to the middle of the month.

My wife is not eating well and her blood sugar is far too high.  I'm doing it all.

And the person of whom I spoke in the second line has the nerve to tell me that a simple statement that the website which was posted wasn't working was a negative comment!  That I'm "Seen through" and must "Always get my way."

I tend to think you haven't gone through 1/5 of what we have in the last year...even if you are not fully employed.

I saw something someone had posted about the "problems" that the GOP has caused since Ford. They mentioned Ford's Pardon of Nixon, Iran-Contra, Bush I (No new taxes) Bush II (Iraq).

Let me go back a bit: Truman: Made the choice to drop the A-Bomb on Japan.

Truman: Got the US involved in Korea.

JFK had a Mistress. His failed foreign policy at Bay Of Pigs led directly to the Cuban missile crisis and it was actually RUSSIA that ended the standoff with a compromise. Just a heartbeat from Nuclear War. Johnson's failed domestic policies led to the assassinations of Malcolm Little, Martin Luther King, Jr, and RFK. He also blew it in Vietnam.

Carter's weak foreign policy and inability to recognize an Islamic Threat in Iran led to the takeover or the embassy, and his inability to get the hostages free is unparalleled.

Clinton is a sex offender, lied under oath about Monica Lewisky, Gennifer Flowers and more. Weak domestic policy led to Waco, and the Oklahoma City Bombing at the Murrah Building. Don't forget the attack on our ships, either. All of this led to 9/11.

Gore started to tear down our infrastructure with his refusal to acknowledge his loss in 2000. Obama has destabilized race relations, education has gone to pot, Christians and Jews are being persecuted in the US and Overseas, Crime has increased, attacks against law enforcement have skyrocketed, Islam is on the march. Holder has "Fast and Furious" and there is the nice attack against the farmers in AZ and a complete military operation there as well as in Oregon. And yet, in between golf games, he pushes "Climate Change."

"Political Correctness", aka CENSORSHIP, is rampant.

I can't trust Hillary. I'm not sure I can trust Trump. And Johnson is the world's biggest question mark.

If you plan to report a story -- Be sure it's the WHOLE story!

AS I SEE IT

Folks, there is always going be be a few bad eggs. A few rotten apples. But don't call out "White Privilege" on everybody because of those few bad eggs. If you obey our laws, (which, folks, do not include segregation or those "colored only" fountains that you are either remembering from times past or are making up)-- I have nothing against your heritage.

I'll stand up for you... but if you stab me in the back, don't expect me to take it. Don't expect me to defend derogatory terms, BS, stupidity or falsehoods.

I have my limits. Once you push me past 'em, you'll see a side of me that you'll wish you had not.

Just remember, guys: Being "Race conscious" is NOT the same as being "Racist."

I was born Caucasian. I'll defend my neighbor, my friend, my family and my brother. Race, to me, is insignificant...but if you're acting like a crook or a member of the "thug-life," don't expect your actions to weigh positively upon whatever group you may classify yourself.

The Morons are at it again.  Specifically, not just "morons", but Losing Morons.

Now, remember, and I will state for the record:  I have never seen the show "American Idol," Or is that better phrased as, "American, Idle"?

I know what the program is.  I know what it's supposed to be and what it's supposed to do -- possibly launching people to stardom.  But what of the "no-talents" who actually get on stage?  There are a LOT of those no-talent people who get a chance.  And it's unlikely that they make it past the first round or two.

Many, Many of these losers are Caucasian.  And many are not.  And those who are NOT are now accusing the TV program of being "racist."

Must be soooo nice to have a reason for failure.  Thing is, these guys who lose are obviously not as talented as someone else who does make it to the next week.  But they are now crying "Racist!" because they're not as talented as someone else.  Sometimes, you just got to wonder!

I can't help wondering what Sidney Portier would say if someone had beaten him out of the starring role in "To Sir, with Love."  If there were a remake, would they choose someone of color?  Would they choose be forced to pick someone with more talent?  Let's say Will Smith went up against...oh...say... Dan Povenmire? or shall we pick someone like... Who's a good Native American Actor? Let's use Russell Means.
Or what if They decide to do Porgy and Bess..The script calls for one type of person.  So, do you hear the Caucasians screaming racism because they don't get picked for the starring roll?

Look folks.  You people who've been eliminated may have lots of talent.  But someone was better than you on a particular day.  That doesn't make the judges any more racist than it makes someone with a German name a Nazi.  If 3 people took a test, and only the highest score qualified -- you got a 90, but someone got 91 and someone else got a 98, do you scream "UNFAIR" because you didn't pass the test?

Gimme a break!

The fact is, you weren't good enough.  If you're constantly flat when singing, can you reasonably expect to defeat someone with perfect pitch?

Stop screaming racism!  Work to better yourself.  When you're better than the next guy, you win...
If the Yankees defeat the Tigers, does that mean the Yankees are racist?  OMG, Get your head on.

Put the race card away.  Stop blaming your poor performance on racism.  Or just admit it:  Someone was better.  That's the TRUTH of the matter....AS I SEE IT!

They can't read, don't think, or think I'm too stupid to live up to what I say!

I've been attempting to sell some stuff on Craig's list.  You've heard of it.  They've got a good reach.  Only problem:  You never get the answers you want or need.  I've sold a few things, but... When you make a post, say one particular method of payment and ONLY that...And then they write?

I've been trying to sell a good, upright freezer.  Solid idea, need cash.  Before today, I posted with the ad :CASH ONLY.

Damn asshole tried to get my name and address for a payment sent by UPS or FEDEX.  Didn't ask for dimensions.  Didn't ask for specs.  Didn't ask for age or color. Didn't even ask for pictures.

I told him, "The ad said cash only."

I didn't hear back from him.

Yesterday, I reposted the ad.  Today, I had a person inquiring.  Wanted to know if still available.  I answered in the affirmative.  He replies "Remove it from CL, you've sold it."  But didn't ask for pictures, dimensions, color or age.  He tells me he's getting married next year.  Great.  But he wants Name, address... FOR UPS/FEDEX payment.  I posted TWICE on this one:  CASH ONLY.  and "Other methods of payment will not be considered."

I've not checked my Email since.  If he's going to try to get me to take "UPS" or "FEDEX" payment, he'd better do one of three things:  1) Learn to read.  2) Learn that I mean what I say when I say CASH ONLY. or 3 ) Go to jail, go directly to jail, do not pass go, do not collect a free freezer.

Like I say, I've not checked my Email yet.  I expect either a scathing reply with threats or a deafening silence.  If I am wrong and he wants to bring the cash, GREAT.  But he's not gonna get me to take a "Certified check" or "money order."  I know better!  IF he wants to make it a personal check, and is willing to wait UNTIL THE CHECK CLEARS... or until I call the bank to verify the person's name, address, licence, phone, account, and balance.... OR if he wants to bring cash...well, we'll see.

IF I get a reply, I'll post it here.  But remember, folks:  I'm on to the scams.  If I can't meet you face-to-face for deals, I doubt that I'll do a thing.  I had ONE guy...no, make that two... who actually bilked me.  Actually, one charged 100 bucks for something I could have gotten at the library for FREE... (I was young and foolish), and the other one stole info from my wife...at a cost of 47 bucks.  I guess that's why all payments are electronic today and checks are going the way of the dodo.

As they said in THE MUSIC MAN:  "CASH for the Merchandise, CASH for the HARD GOODS..."

Sorry, folks.  Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice, Shame on me.  I'm gonna keep you honest, you S.O.B.  And I ain't gonna get bilked by the scammers!
